New Year, New Book!

Exactly one year ago, Blue Cactus Press opened for business and started working towards publishing our first book. One marvelous year later, we’re back at it again! BCP is celebrating our one year anniversary with a special announcement about our newest, upcoming book by a truly talented author, Samuel Snoek-Brown.

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome author Samuel Snoek-Brown to the BCP family this winter, and if you know anything about the quality of Sam’s writing, you understand why. For readers who’re unfamiliar with his work, we’ve included his bio below to give you a quick introduction:

Samuel Snoek-Brown teaches and writes in the Pacific Northwest. Heโ€™s the author of the novel Hagridden and the flash-fiction chapbooks Box Cutters and Where There Is Ruin. He also works as a production editor for Jersey Devil Press, and he lives online at snoekbrown.com. His work has appeared in dozens of literary magazines, including Bartleby Snopes, Eunoia Review, Fiction Circus, Red Fez and Timberline Review. Heโ€™s the recipient of a 2013 Oregon Literary Fellowship and has been shortlisted in the Faulkner-Wisdom competition, twice for short fiction and once for his novella. He was also a finalist in the 2013 storySouth Million Writers Award. In 2015, he was a contributor to the Sewanee Writersโ€™ Conference.
