It’s hosted by Blue Cactus Press publisher and author Christina Butcher. Upcoming: Live-Recording ft. José Olivarez & Britteney Black Rose Kapri

PPP Live RecordingThis March, the Prickly Pear Podcast is BEYOND EXCITED to welcome poetry giants  José Olivarez and Britteney Black Rose Kapri to Tacoma as Part of the Louder Than A Bomb (LTAB)-Tacoma teen poetry slam. The podcast will be live-recorded at King’s Books on March 20th at 7pm.

The live-recording is also part of Write253’s Louder Than A Bomb (LTAB)-Tacoma teen poetry slam festival this March. The festival culminates in a youth poetry slam on March 23 at Alma Mater (6pm). The event is open to the public and is free for youth, with a modest, suggested donation for adults. Get your tickets here, or pay at the door!

featuring Seattle-based writer/poet/artist Nicole McCarthy. Nicole is from the pacific northwest. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing & Poetics from the University of Washington Bothell. Her work has been performed and encountered through installation pieces throughout Seattle & Tacoma.
