Preserve Your Family History (Pierce County Library NaNoWriMo Workshop)
Join Pierce Country Library Blue Cactus Press publisher and storyteller Christina Vega on November 14th for a cultural preservation workshop focused on collecting and preserving family histories. We’ll spend the first hour talking about collection techniques and best practices for recording, transcribing, and compiling family histories in different modalities (verbal, written, or image based). Then participants will get hands-on practice. Participants are encouraged to bring related familial memorabilia, such as letters, photographs, newspaper articles, etc.
