Outspoken: An Evening of Outstanding Washington Women Poets @ Lacey Timberland Library
Washington state’s Poet Laureate Claudia Castro Luna and Olympia poets Dawn Pichón Barron and Emily Van Kley are holding an evening of poetry and conversation at the Lacey Timberland Library. Claudia, Dawn and Emily will each read from their recent works, then facilitate a conversation on fostering awareness and appreciation of poetry in our lives. There will be light refreshments, courtesy of the Friends of the Lacey Library. If you haven’t heard Castro Luna read yet, or you’re unfamiliar with her work, this is the perfect opportunity to do so!
Also, if you’re interested in buying the readers’ books, Browsers Bookshop will have them available for purchase at the event. The authors will be available for signing, as well. This is a Humanities Washington event.
