On November 4th, join Blue Cactus Press for a free Haiku Comics workshop led by multidisciplinary artists Shin Yu Pai & Justin Rueff. Participants can expect to gain an understanding of basic principles of a new(ish) and hybrid artform: haiku comics; as well as get hands-on experience drawing and writing within the medium. Participants will learn from the author and artist behind Less Desolate: Haiku Comics, forthcoming from Blue Cactus Press. Shin Yu Pai and Justin Rueff are regional, working artists whose creativity crisscrosses artistic forms and frameworks including, visual art, graphic design, comics, poetry, performance, podcasting, and more.
