The PNBA Fall Tradeshow is the premier book industry event in the Pacific Northwest. Held annually in late September or early October, the show features three days of events aimed at the owners of and buyers for independent bookstores, publishers, authors, librarians, and other people in the bookselling industry. Blue Cactus Press will participate in PNBA’s annual tradeshow for the second year in a row, and we’re incredibly excited to chat with other industry professionals about what we’ve been up to, our newest books, and where we’re headed in the coming year.
For those interested in participating, or just curious about the event, here’s a quick breakdown: The first day of the show is filled with seminars for booksellers publishers, and librarians, and features readings and autographing sessions with numerous authors. Hundreds of exhibitors show their wares on the second day, and the third day is reserved for more exhibits and a variety of events featuring authors. The show includes several meals at which authors talk about their works, a “celebration of authors,”opportunities to get a book or two autographed by a favorite author, and chances to meet and talk with people from all aspects of the bookselling industry.
